LAST UPDATED: JULY 2026

SIGNAL is an OSINT narrative-intelligence service operated by Tigran Mikaelyan. It ingests publicly published commentary from credentialed expert sources and uses AI to summarize and synthesize daily intelligence briefings. This notice explains what personal data we process and your rights over it.

Publicly published source content: We ingest articles and posts that credentialed experts publish publicly, including the author's name where given, to attribute analysis and detect narratives across sources. Our basis is our legitimate interest in operating an analytical service (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)); the content was published for public and professional consumption. We never build credibility scores or ratings about you as a named individual — our analysis operates at the content and source-type level only.

If you subscribe: We store your email address so we can send you the briefing once our newsletter launches, on the basis of your consent. You can ask us to remove your address at any time, and every briefing email will include a one-click unsubscribe link.

If you submit a correction: We store your email and your message to respond and to keep an accuracy audit trail, on the basis of our legitimate interest in accuracy and accountability. Please don't include sensitive personal information in the free-text box.

We do NOT: publish individual trust scores, profile you as an individual, monitor X/Twitter/Reddit/YouTube, sell your data, or reproduce source text verbatim.

How long we keep it: Raw source text is automatically deleted after 7 days; after that we keep only our own summaries and attribution metadata. Subscriber emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Correction records are kept until resolved plus an audit period.

Who we share it with: We use service providers to run SIGNAL: Supabase (database), Hetzner (servers), Cloudflare (content delivery and backups), and Anthropic and OpenAI (AI text analysis — they receive article text, never your subscriber or correction details); email delivery via Resend/Beehiiv once active. Some providers are in the United States; those transfers are governed by the applicable safeguards in our agreements with them.

Your rights: You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or object to our processing of it, and we respond to verified requests within 30 days. If you're in the EU/UK and unhappy with our response, you may complain to your data-protection authority. Contact: tigran.mikaelyan@gmail.com.

AI-assisted content: SIGNAL's briefings are AI-assisted and labeled as such, with machine-readable metadata, in line with EU AI Act Article 50.

Changes: We'll post updates to this notice here with a revised date.
